Mike Reames has lived in the Peninsula area his entire life.  He graduated from Tabb High School and continued his education at Clemson University where he earned his degree in Construction Science and Management in 1993.  From there he went on to be an executive for 17 years at a large local commercial construction company where he served as the Chief Executive Officer and Chief Operations Officer.  He held a Class a General Contractors License, a Master Plumbers License, a Master Gasfitters License and a Master HVAC License.  He negotiated multi-million dollar contracts with some of the country’s largest contractors.

Mike and Jill have been married for years.  Jill is a 1st grade teacher at Dare Elementary School in York County.  They are proud parents of 3 fantastic kids – Jackson, Andy, and Meredith. Mike is active in the community, having previously served as the President of his homeowner’s association for three years, coaching youth soccer for 14 seasons, volunteering as an official for his community’s swim team for four years, being a Chairman for the Peninsula Ducks Unlimited Committee, and much more.  He enjoys marathon running, cycling, triathlons, golfing, swimming, hiking, fishing, reading, and traveling. Mike grew up surfing at the beach and fishing in the local waterways, so waterfront property is one of his passions.

Mike’s previous experience provides his clients comfort knowing that their contract is being negotiated by a tested professional.  His extensive construction and HVAC knowledge allows him to provide excellent advice throughout each transaction. Mike understands the importance of the financial side of each transaction.  His wealth of financial knowledge, as well as his ability to come up with creative solutions, really sets him apart.
